Exhibition 17.10.20-20.02.21 > Ido Bar-El / The Cuckoo
In “The Cuckoo” I time travel back to “Works on paper”, an exhibition I did in the Artists’ Workshops at the beginning of the millennium. Its birth precedes the Twin Towers disaster. An exhibition that was almost entirely a record of the painter’s movements and his freedom of choice in movement as well as in colors and materials.
Precisely in the days when the world fell silent, the orchestras and concerts seemed to mourn, the parties mourned, and we were sentenced to social isolation. The exhibition was formed in a moment of longing and a different perspective: missing what was painted in an old world and also the recent election campaigns that, among other things, have become history as part of a collection of cumulative experiences stemming from the reality around us for the past twenty years.
