Eli Petel

Petel is a conceptual multidisciplinary artist engaged in painting, sculpture, sound, video and printing. His works deal with questions of visual perception and cultural and social preferences while looking at the history of Western art and Israeli society as they appear in the media world and representing aspects such as Oriental / Arab, Judaism, law, media, technology, etc. Most of his works appear as incarnations of pictorial action whether in sound photography, projection and painting. Petels’works are in the collections of the Tel Aviv Museum, the Israel Museum, the City of Paris Collection and more. He has won many awards among them, the Dizengoff Award (2005), the Rappaport Young Artist Prize  (2007), the Ministry of Culture Award (2009) and more.
